Construction work on phase two of the multi-billion Edenville Estate in Kiambu County is set to begin next month, subject to National Environment Management Authority (Nema) approval.
The housing project, which comprises 454 maisonette units, will include two, three or four bedroomed units for sale at between Sh10.5 and Sh12.5 million, according to the developer Paramount Chief Estate Ltd.
Edenville 2 comes barely a year after the completion of the phase one which comprises 345 units most of them villas which were sold at between Sh14.5 million and Sh18.5 million each in a record ten months by Hass Consult.
The project sits on 42 acres of land about two kilometres from Kiambu Town in an area known as Turitu Farm and will be constructed at a total cost of Sh2 billion.
Construction of the housing units and the associated infrastructure will take an approximated 20 to 24 months, according to the Environmental Impact Assessment report submitted to Nema.
“We expect that the response to this second phase will be even better than the first one since the houses are much cheaper,” said Hass Consult’s project development manager Farhana Hassanali.
“Already, 100 units have been booked and we expect that this tempo will pick once the actual construction work begins next month,” she said.
Phase 3 of Edenville has already been planned on a 36.5 acre parcel of land – meaning the total project land will span 149.5 acres.
